Westland Private Residence, case #10-02:

    
    In January 2010, we were called to investigate a home in a suburb of Westland where for sometime there has been some minor paranormal activity that has escalated in the last few months.  Although the homeowner is not bothered by the activity her daughter has become fearful of being in her own room. The daughter has experienced activity that was scaring her and she was not sure if it was all in her head or if it was paranormal activity taking place.
    On one occasion her lip balm flew off the dresser and landed on the floor, her dresser drawers have opened by themselves and she has felt that she is not alone and feels like she is being watched all the time. Her desk chair was moved into the middle of the room when there was nobody in there and she knows that it was by the desk when she exited the room. There have been several unexplained noises and bangs that they have not been able to locate where the sounds originated from.  The homeowner also reports the other night her husband awoke to the sound of footsteps walking in the hallway and said that it sounded like someone was walking in bare feet, as it was a very distinct sound and upon investigation, he found everyone to be in bed and there was nobody there.  The homeowner also reports that on several occasions a touch lamp in her other daughter’s room has been found to be on, when she knows that no one been in that room.  
    The homeowner thinks that the activity has got worse since the 3rd anniversary of her mother’s passing and admits that she does talk to her mother all the time and thinks that her mother is the one whom is causing all the activity in the home. Also it seems that since she has been watching her grandson on a more regular basis it coincides with the date and activity. She also reports that the grandson looks up and talks to an unseen presence and also does the same thing whilst at home.
    We proceeded with our walkthrough and recorded base readings; there were no high EMF readings in the daughters’ room or anywhere in the house.  Pictures were taken and as you can see in the evidence proved that things were being moved and misplaced in both of the daughter’s rooms. We placed DVR’s in all three bedrooms and managed to capture the following EVPs.
    Fiona did a follow-up interview and the homeowner reports that her daughter has resumed sleeping in her room again, even if she had the door open it is a start. The homeowner reports that the daughter didn't wake her up to stay in her room with her.  The homeowner also reported that since the investigation, there was a loud bang, which she believes to have originated from the room with most activity. After looking for the source of the noise and nothing was out of place, she continued to look in the other rooms and was unable to locate anything out of place. The bang was loud enough to startle the homeowner.    We presented our findings to the client and she is now convinced that it is her mother and possibly her cousin that is causing the activity in the house. Upon finding out the details of the spirit activity the daughter is more comfortable in her room and knows that it is not there to harm her in anyway.
